I find this picture most interesting. it makes me contemplate the saying "when a writer says that the wall is blue, sometimes they just mean that the wall is blue" meaning sometimes we can find so much in a simple image, that may not even be there. I know nothing of the world you created in this story, however I gathered that this queen is of a mythical sort that can only live when in possession of a magical artifact, her 'crown'. since her own, the Maverick, was stolen, this queen has stolen another one from another of her kind. which seems to be a simple golden ring. Then we come to this picture, where she is present inside the 'ring' of wolves, caressing their fur as she explains their existence. However what strikes my need to analyze is the fact that in this picture, the golden ring is not present. there is however, the ring of wolves. this suggests to me that perhaps the ring of wolves, has become the golden ring around her neck. at least to me, that is what the picture implies....though of course it could just be that the wall is blue, and the ring of wolves has nothing to do with the ring she now has.
thus ends my overthought musing, I will add that I find the artwork beautiful and unique, may you always find inspiration.

I was just thinking about this story, because it doesn't seem like a "face value" story (most short stories involving mythological references aren't), and this page made me realize that the wolves are very similar (metaphorically) to a bad family, or a a relationship with either a person or an object.
What a cool story! The wolves remind me of a personification of mob mentality. The wolves eating each other alive is kinda like how the need to be part of a group never ends and can destroy the person's individuality and humanity. Like with the Nazi Party, ISIS and any gang.
This comic is a little gem! It's been awesome to see tsourai alive, and manage to see a bit of Padmire (and its dangers)! I honestly loved how you characterized Sariah, she may very well become one of my favorite characters of yours (and page 2 is my favorite, especially the bottom XD).
Xue doesn't look much "evil" as you described him in his reference, though...
One thing I didn't understand, though, is the maverick: what is it?
There's also... a bit of spite in this comic. While in the end Sariah treats the story like it was nothing, one can read a hint of satisfaction in her last words.
Also, I have read the bad family interpretation given above. That impulse to consume the outsiders, tricking, luring them in believing in the "good family": maybe it's just the extreme hate that can't be contained within the "family" and destroys even those who come in contact with? Or the need to cancel what's outside to make your limited world "the" World?
