Experimental Portraits (2h): Partran!
Another of the experimental portraits from this queue, done, approved, and (finally) posted! I'm honestly shocked I'd never seen this character around before he wound up on my list; he is absolutely gorgeous, and the extremely clever blending of the facial hair and fuzz gives him such a neat appearance. Given how 
Partran (who was extremely sweet to work for) described him as stately and dignified, I felt like going for kind of an old school 'renaissance painting' vibe would be really appropriate, and wound up yanking some of my palette basics from an old Caravaggio portrait to get started with the right kinds of sepia tones. Super jazzed about the results! I should do this kind of psuedo-traditional thing more often!
