I wasn't intending it to be 80s, but when I was working on her shirt, I was like 'oh wow, it's an 80s pic isn't it?' The 80s are my fave decade entertainment-wise, so I guess my brain naturally drifts towards it X3

It helps that the colors are really saturated and the palette is pastel. I was a teen in that decade, so I have instant reactions to similar imagery.

I was born in 83, so the late 80s/early 90s I remember best, but when I hit college I started finding out that my taste in films, music, etc. was really from the early to mid 80s. I envy those that got to experience all that stuff firsthand!

Fore sure! As a matter of fact I think the bug hit me and I listened to a heavy amount of 80's music off of Youtube today. Tears for Fears, A-ha, etc. (a lot of the remixes too). Even with modern music today, if there is a whiff that is has an 80's vibe, I'll instantly dig it.

Oh man, I went on a youtube spree the other month where I listened to a bunch of Genesis, Billy Idol, A-ha, Japan, etc. I think the mix of old and new with the introduction of affordable analog synths and drum machines really made for this kind of 'retro future' music style that is really distinct. Love it!
