For Christmas I designed and etched a pair of bee wine glasses for good friends of mine.

Ahh glass etching is usually done with HF... meaning Hydroflouric Acid... shit is nasty as FUCK.... doesn't burn immediately then three hours later you have no skin there... and in agony. ^-^; Where I work the guy in the chemical station behind he uses it.
While the Armour Etch doesn't list its appropriate chemical composition, it does list off warnings of being extremely corrosive and harmful vapour along with the warning symbol for corrosive and caution of what gear to wear to protect yourself, so I'm definitely aware of where the chemical goes at all times as well as making sure that any tools I use are properly cleaned after use and gloves worn along with arms covered and glasses on.
At first I thought you meant that I hadn't etched the glasses myself by how you worded things, but now after your second reply I get what you mean. Burns of any kind are nasty things to deal with and chemical burns are no exception to that! I much rather the glasses being etched than my own skin!
