One would think that Nick and Judy would have called their parents and ask for some advice. I'm sure they could come up with ways to calm child down. After all, I doubt there are enough cats in the world to serve as nannies to all kids. :P

They showed him a hospitality in the past, but it doesn't seem they did any adopting of Nick.

i'm going to assume that's not a cigarette hanging from Nick's mouth, even though he'd probably appreciate some manner of chemical assistance to deal with the stress of a newborn.

And this oddly reminds me of a scene when my cousin was born and my aunt was having trouble burping him after feeding. A friend showed her a technique so the baby wouldn't make a mess everywhere, and all my aunt could do was lament how many shirts and tops she could have saved if she'd known that sooner. XD
