The Dingo Class Heavy Assault Cruiser is meant to go into hostile areas where a single heavy cruiser (such as the Constitution Class) would not stand the best chance of survival. As a dedicated warship, there are only a small amount of science and exploration stations aboard ship. The design has five shuttle bays as well as advanced warp nacelles. The primary hull is the same as those found on several dreadnought type ships.

I thought the design would work better as an Heavy Assault Cruiser than as a Heavy cruiser.
