Hail storm coming I'd say he has more to worry about that being late right about now from draghi's little detour.

Oh Jon's mother won't care about Draghi, because as far as his parents are concerned, Draghi is Jon's responsability so he is responsable for keeping him in line ( which he isn't very good at doing... obviously ). And the reason Jon can't keep Draghi in line is because he is very very VERY bad at disciplining Draghi.

Draghi has almost 0 respect for Jon ( he LOVES him very much, but does not respect him ). So he tends to pretty much do what ever he choeses. Jon usually has to relly on promises, bribery or trickerry to get Draghi to do something.... he cannot command him.

SO really, Draghi has nothing to fear as far as repremands go... but the hail on the other hand... well that's going to be a bit of a problem indeed.

And poor Jon than. <='( *thinks* Is there really no way that Jon can get true respect from Draghi? <=( I mean: Jon kinda IS his big brother of sorts right? <=0 Little brothers should have respect for their big brothers and vice versa. <=0

ANd well, Jon SHOULD have tried to impose himself as they were growing up ( like his parents suggested he should if he was going to keep his pet under control ). Jon ( like my in real life self ) is very bad at the thought of disciplining a pet...

It wouldn't be too late to learn to do it but then where would be the fun in that? Draghi is fun because of his unpredictability and free spirited nature ( he's kind of a walking plotpoint for these comics )... if he is disciplined and obedient.... wouldn't that make him rather dull?

As far as Draghi's point of view, the idea of age doesn't really register with him. Draghi sees that Jon is smaller and weaker, and makes no effort to impose his will on him... therefore Draghi has to take the leading role... it's only natural he does this ( comming from a natrual group social hirarchy, his instincts tell him SOMEBODY must be in charge, and if Jon's not going to do it, he will have to ). He loves Jon, but he can't help but see him as small and weak and needing guidance and protection... that coupled with some events in Draghi's early hatchlinghood which, MAYBE someday, I will actually be able to depict in a comic, has led to him being highly attached and overprotective of Jon. TO the point he would suffer separation anxiety were they to be separated.

Though i must say that it all does sound like Draghi. xD Though still to bad that Draghi doesn't really listen to Jon much, even if it is hilarious and super cute to see him do his thing. well... small hail is pesky enough on it's own... but here we had hail as big as chicken eggs a few times... being pelted with doesens of those a second for a pretty long duration.... i'm sorry... do i REALLY need to spell it out why that'd be bad? Draghi is not an armoured tank... he has some boney plates on his neck and tail... but the rest of him is fairly soft... being hit repeatedly by hail the size of an egg is not something he would enjoy much.

And eventually i plan to continue that Origine arc that I left hanging.... remains to be seen when I get around to it.

If Draghi was obedient everything would be rather booring IMHO... eventually I will like to have him meet a properly trained dragon that's also slim and well trained... a show dragon, ( where as Draghi is jsut a family pet... a chubby and untrained one at that ).

*thinks* i didn't know that he could be seriously hurt by hail. ^^;; So many people have made so many different kinds of dragons and most of them are almost invulnerable to most types of weather. ^^;; So I didn't know if Draghi would be hurt or not, sorry if that annoyed you. ^^;;

And maybe, I dunno. He could become a dragon from both ways. Being obedient when it suits him and when he has to be (when people are in danger and stuff), and his usually untrained and silly self most of the time. ^^ But meh, that's just my view of Draghi, your is different and I respect that. ^w^ <3

oh I'm not annoyed. I like talking about his backstory... almost nobody seems interested about such detaills.

Draghi is the dominant figure amongst the two ( though still submissive to Jon's parents who do not put up with any sort of nonscence ). Invoking them is usually how Jon motivates Draghi to do something ( or promissing food and baths and belly rubbs ). But despiteb eing the dominant figure... domminance means something different for him. As the leader of the group Draghi is responsable for ensuring their protection and ( normally ) the aquisition of food... now Jon is always the one to feed him so Draghi thinks he's an excelent hunter ( he has never seen the elusive "treats" in the wild.... so Jon must be a good hunter indeed... and that's the only source of respect Draghi has for him, but otherwise, jon is a weak and small and incredibly unatentive smaller brother that requires his constant protection at all times.

Really? Almost no one else seems interested in hearing about his back story and all? <=0 But Draghi is such an interesting character and so much deeper then he seems. 83 Reading about his relationship between Jon and himself really shows that he isn't just a cute silly dragon but much more than that. 83 It makes me love him even more. ^^ <3

Though I am a little surprised that Draghi has so much respect for Jon's parents though. But I guess that's just a larential thing huh? x3 And it's cute that he thinks all the food he is getting come from the wild. But I think it'd be best not to tell Draghi that they are usually not found in the wild and all. Though I am definitely looking forwards to seeing his dominance in some pics or comics in the future. Because so far I do not really think you have actually shown it yet. But I definitely love talking with you about him. ^w^

Oh i've been listening to a lot of youtube vids with very sarcastic comedy... I guess that influences the way I form my phrases... SOrry if it came across as being annoyed. I can assure you that's not the case.

Jon's parents are an imposing presence. THey aren't mean or viollent, but both of them have an air of dominance that Draghi recognises. and respects, to the point that Jon can actually invoke their names to get Draghi to do something he wouldn't ordinarelly want to.

Draghi thinks Jon is uunting. In fact every time they go on walks, Draghi thinks they are going on hunts. ( he is trained to not view any of the local wildlife as aedable so he can't confuse local animals or humans for food... so he is utherly in the dark how Jon ( or his parents, in the rare cases when they feed him ) manage to capture the elusive "treats" animals... he has never seen it alive so he is both impressed by Jon's efficiency for hunting it ( and is also the only reason Jon gets any sort of respect from Draghi ).

And actually he shows his domminance a lot. Not in very obvious ways to us humans, but even the fact that he just walks up to him and licks his face... it's a sign of affection yes, but it's alos a clear sign that Draghi does NOT respect Jon's personal space. A dog would never dream of doing something like that to it's Alpha. Almost all of Draghi's interactions with Jon are reinforcing this position,. Draghi has the domminant position and he can afford to aproach Jon in any way he wants.

Other instances invoulve stuff like Draghi picking Jon up, jumping in to Jon's pille of leaves, Frequently not listening to what Jon tells him to do, refusing to relenquish his tory to him ( form this very comic ), jumping on him, stealling his pillow, or cuddeling up next to him when sleeping. They don't seem like it to us, but all of them show a clear disregard to Jon's personal space, which clearelly puts Draghi as the dominant figure.

Draghi doesn't need to be mroe forcefull with his domminance because Jon just plainly doesn't care aboyuut it, and thus offers no resistence ( for the msot part ) , so Draghi sees him as submissive.

There are other examples but those were a few.

I did while in Iraq, damned hailstorm erupted atop a dust storm, first time I've seen hail and mud falling from the sky. I was lucky I had my Kevlar on or it'd have done more then knock me dizzy >.<

i heard stories of people in bullet proof vests beign hit by hail and it having the same effect as a bullet.... can't relaly confirm... but I suppose you don't need to be a balistic genious to know that being hit by hail would be bad...

Hail with mud.... that sounds very very bad...

It eventually erupted into a thunderstorm. Worst one I had ever been in, and the first time ever most military actions were grounded to a halt. Zero visibility, possible chances of lightning strikes, and hail big enough to cause physical damage

I take it, given how Jon is already soaking wet, the forcefield only activates when objects over a certain 'threat level' approach?

It works against solid obbjects traveling at a velocity deemed to be threathening. ( so you can say lightly throw a ball at him and if he's aware of it, the shield won't activate ( but try to surprise him by throwing a pie at him for instance, and the shield will automaticlly intercept it. Bullets I suppose would be treated similarly if it came to it. Or if Draghi accidentally slipped and fell on top of him, the shield would again prevent that. Rain however is a liquid and thus is not affected by the shield at all.

So, no "umbrella" mode in all of that hi tech gear? At least it's waterproof, one would hope?

well honestly they have the technology for it, but all pourpouce shields arem ore of a military thing. ( at least the kind that does it automaticly ). He COULD willingly make the shield in to a olid surface, and thus an umbrella, but he would need to concentrate on it constantly to maintain it ( all their technology is PSI powered so unless it comes with the kind of tech that allows the action to be automated, the user would need to constantly concentrate on maintaining it. In the end, what's really the reason to do so? Being wet and cold has no effect on them.

Why was his mother even worried? He seems to have a shield of some sorts.

Draghi doesn't though... and it isn't about Jon not being in danger, it's about him not learning to be responsable with his time and to take in to account that other thingsm ight interfeer... like a dragon running right in to a hailstorm.
