When Cycas is offered to see the future through the eyes of his descendant, he is shocked to find out that he and Zinna will eventually reincarnate as one individual; a poorly motivated, yet magically endowed Deku by the name of Cynna.
In this future, technology has started it's rise with an industrial revolution spearheaded by the newest incarnate of Ganon, in an attempt to stifle magic and the population's will to fight back. Cynna knows this, but chooses to do nothing, as their morals are as difficult to determine as their gender.

Maybe you can imagine Cycas' impression of all this may be quite bleak, It's everything he wanted to avoid, aswell as everything Zinna hoped for. (well, aside from the environment becoming unstable.) But this does drive Cycas to attempt to prevent this outcome; unfortunately sometimes fighting fate only helps prophecies be fulfilled...
It's not all bad, though! Atleast the Zinna half of him in Cynna will be enjoying the new partnership.
