I think a girl version of Link or an original character would be fine, so long as the dialog is more than 'hyah!', I never understood how Link had a conversation with anyone, he essentially broke into peoples homes, destroyed their property, screamed at them and assaulted chickens a lot.

No actually! I started doodling in some placeholder monsters and then they ended up just kinda living back there. They sort of look like Gengar but that's not intentional * u *;;
