Steampunk/Steamfantasy. One of my favorite genre/themes. Part of my 1k A Day!

Started out as a prompt. Somehow turned into some crazy, detached bits of ideas that came along into a (somewhat) ordered storyline? Well, general idea, I guess. It's all over the place right now, but it's definitely going somewhere, that's for sure. It's filled my mind and taken on a life of its own.

This is in the Merc camp still, just before the previous scene, I think. I dont know if I like how I wrote this, which is probably why it ended up just less than 1k words. It's sitting at about 900 words. Probably rewrite it into the bigger picture later on. Just a skeleton.

Because I'm writing all the disjointed pieces separately, I dont know where this'll end up in the storyline, but I think of it as a sort of sneak peek? I will definitely be continuing this, and probably uploading all sorts of mix and match scenes for this story until I've got it all together. <3
