Back from Babscon so it's time to start making more art! At the con Dusty had the guitar that he's been carefully building for the last few months Sunset Shimmer's Guitar and photos do not do it justice. The man really poured his heart and soul into making this instrument.
Since I've known Dusty for years I got to watch the project evolve and grow first hand. As it reached completion I started to have little ideas and images popping into my head. It is my hope to do some finished piece in the future involving Sunset Shimmer and that guitar, and as a result of doing these sketches I am suddenly interested in doing sketches of the other Equestria Girls.

I predict that the next Equstria Girls movie will have Sunset Shimmer return to Equestria. The question then will be how will she be received? Will abandoning equestria in the first place be considered a crime? She has realized with the Friendship Games that it's her magic that is affecting things. and the only way to stop that is to take away her magic. What will she face on her return? Only the next show will tell us..
Her eyes are at the Goldilocks size. Large enough to be blatantly very expressive, but any larger and it would get into creepy big territory.
Mind you, if you try to do 3D cutaways of the head, the eyes promptly become tennis ball or softball sized. Which leaves little room for the brain. Which would explain a lot of kids animation, western and anime both.
