I went to Wildnights fur convention at Robbers Cave State Park in Oklahoma, This is a great event, I recommend it for furries who like the outdoors.
the charity we sponsor is Safaris Exotic wildlife sanctuary in Broken Arrow OK, who rescues wolves, large cats like tigers and lions, monkeys, snakes, lizards...etc. from unsafe Zoos and abandoned pet situations.
They gave me some shed snake skin so I am experimenting making badges out of it.
This one represents the least known part of my shape-shifting rat-pheoniz fursona: Ash[the black snake] is the transition between the flaming bat Wildfire [which represents my manic state] and Alex the shy and fearful black mouse which represents my depression.
[I am what I eat? ]
I will post the back side of these several snakeskin badges as one image
This one was first tape-laminated, and then re-laminated on the badge laminating machine. Drawn with pencil, inked with sharpie, then colored with colored pencils and cut out, the outside cut with scissors the inside with a craft knife.
I'm really pleased with how this turned out. First badge I have ever made, it made me want to make more badges.
backside can be seen here
