here we are looking down on the top of the skull. I absolutely love the intricate suture lines where the different plates of the skull joined as it grew older. That soft spot human babies have would be about where the three plates have joined. many baby mammals have such soft spots so that the head can pass through the cervix without making sure the mom's uterine tract becomes a highway. slowly as they ages the bones fuse together. considering the amount of fusing that has already happened this monkey was not young when it died. it may have had more sutures in fact. I know that on humans some of them completely disappear as you age as the bones completely fuse.
