A species i design in middle school actually. And i brought it back to life. Its one of the few things im proud of haha..
The Shininoru that is pictured is my own. And i love him. But he doesnt have a name. I mean.. they dont really NEED a name...

I wrote this last year, it might need a few tweeks but overall everything is still accurate.

Habitat::
Shininorus can literally live anywhere. I mean they are already dead in a sense...(It IS possibly to actually kill one too, Ill explain that later.). They are found, if you ever see one, the forest, desert, snow, and even the ocean floor; they dont necessarily swim, but more like glide/walk.
Shininorus mostly are found alone. And if not alone then with a soulmate and their family.

Eating Habits::
Like said above, they dont die if they dont eat or drink. But they do enjoy the taste of different things like grass, wheat, berries, and etc. They do not really eat meat, they could, but they do not hunt. But im sure if you give one a piece of jerky then they'll eat it.

Behavior::
As said, they are usually gentle and peaceful beings and are quite intelligent; they are only mean or vicious if they feel threatened. Shininorus are mostly alone and can not be seen to the living unless they chose to show themselves(Like ghosts). BUT...someone who has seen death can see them...but only glimpses or like the corner of your eye. AND...if someone who has had a near death experience can permanently see Shininorus, whether the Shininoru wants them to or not. They can make friends with living creatures too though, including humans. And if they do become your friend, that means that is a very special bond, unbreakable...and that is a VERY incredible thing.
Also like i said, they can have a soulmate and have a little family. Though there are not many..but once matched, they never leave each other (like penguins :heart:). I would say "til death do us part" but Shininorus cant die unless from an outside cause so they are literally together forever. They can only have up the 4 babies and those babies become a full adult til 3 years late and so, leave the parents. And they do grow quite slowly. If there is a death, the baby Shininoru doesnt come to those events until it is a year old. Like any child with any species, young Shininorus are playful and loving. Though since they are young and do not know much, they can bee seen by everyone and everything so that is when then parents are the most vicious in their life usually find forests or caves to live in to hide away from danger, however within the first year they learn to disappear.

Their Job::
Good People~~
So whenever someone dies, more so a child or animal...they take and guide that being into the light. And its not like the light at the end of the tunnel kind of thing: Say you are walking beside the Shininoru, first..it takes you to your loved one to see them one last time..then as you walk out into the street of the city you were in, you walk onto the middle of the road. You see a bunch of cars and people past by..living on. Gradually, there are less and less people and cars and eventually disappear and the city buildings start to have vines and greens on them and next thing you know you are in a beautiful garden. During that journey, you ask questions, and Shininours do answer all of your questions. Yes they do talk, only when the time is needed. And they dont talk from their mouths, they talk from their minds.

Bad People~~
So if the Shininoru can get their first(Demons try to take the bad souls away to..well, hell), they absorb the bad soul out of the person or being and it goes into the tubes they have around their necks. And what to have left? A good soul! But you pretty much taking a part of someone out to, plus that now good souled person will be in bad shape because they will now realize the horrible things they did in their life. But the Shininoru is there to comfort the person and help them in any way possible.
So there are of course, bad people in the world..but there are also evil people...Shininorus do try to take that bad soul out, but usually it is too corrupt and can not accept that evil soul, and then have no choice but to leave that being there for demons to take away. Shininorus know how much evil there is in a being, and know the risks. Why i say that is because there are Shininorus whom try to absorb those evil souls and it makes the Shininoru corrupt. This is a very bad thing, a corrupt Shininoru will show itself to the world and will start hunting, and killing for sport. It has basically become a demon. Other shininorus sense this and come together to try to stop it. They group together to absorb the evil out of the Evil Shininoru..but if worse comes to worse..they must kill the Shininoru.


Death of a Shininoru::
Sadly they can die..but only from an outside cause, so they cant die from age or sickness. But other things can hurt them.. like from other creatures. Supernatural creature can already see them with no problem so demons do hunt them but light can overcome darkness (:
Even humans can kill them...i.e: Say a human saw one, for whatever the reason may be. And he was a crazed hunter. He can shoot it down. BUT say if that crazed hunter didnt see the Shininoru, but is aiming at a deer; with the Shininoru being in the pathway of that bullet BUT being invisible to the hunter, the bullet will go through it. Hope that makes sense!
When a Shininoru dies, it goes through the same journey as everyone else, but either alone or with its soulmate or even its own child will take them to the over side. And as for the body it left behind, it stays there for about an hour before dissolving into the earth.
