May the 4th Be With You sketch commission for
AlyxVixen from
tree-san
This was another first this year, I'm always excited to try new things when it comes to the Star Wars universe lol. And saberclaws are definitely something I think is rather ka-nifty for sure. This rather interesting lady is a Jedi who hunts down sith, rather an intimidating character to come across in a dark part of the world for sure. I wouldn't wanna mess with her one bit! I'm pretty sure, she knows how to use those things rather well...
Enjoy guys!

When I was coming up with Alyssandri's sabreclaws, I did a little bit of research on how she'd fight with them. Even making up a mock version of them using bamboo rods, duct tape and gloves.
I quickly figured out that her fighting style would be part brawler (lots of jabs, punches, uppercuts and like), a cat's fighting style with the paw swipes, and ballet... giving her a fierce, fast and fluid combat style.
I also figured out thanks to my boyfriend tossing a bean bag at me that she could (potentially) pull off a Jai alai style catch and toss of a blaster bolt.
Also have thought of a video example of how she'd kinda fight: Wolverine in the X-Men movies, particularly the fight in X-Men 3 against Spike in the woods.

It is refreshing to see different saber styles used rather than the simple straight blade we all know. I actually had some mad scientist lightsaber designs myself. I wouldn't be able to commission them sadly due to lack of funds however should any of your commissioners want them I'd be willing to give the ideas out. If anyone wanted a good, unique lightsaber you'd be the artist to turn to.
