Caves and Critters - Chapter 9 Page 16
WOOP looks like Jax is just as mental as the rest of them are.
Or maybe he's totally sane and the spiritual personification of the Divine Mother really -is- talking to him directly.
You'll have to wait and find out which it is. :D

The psychopathy and the cynicism are pretty apparent, but remember he noticed Theran's 'guest' back when they first officially met :3 http://cavesandcritters.com/cnc_webcomic/183
One thing is sure if the personification of the Devine Mother is personally talking to him (and as I read on your site I know it is true).
Being possessed by a demon or being a Sourceror isn't alone reason to be killed or she would have screamed bloody murder already.
Just with every religion. Laying out Tenants not as they are meant to be but how they best fit the leaders.
But Jax is right in one point telling that now is too dangerous. Not because of Karma or Theran, but Kaedan has a too bad mood against the Theocracy still to not get lunatic again.
Karma may be snide when he learns about it, but with his known interest in magic he would sure love to learn more about all that is and what better person than a goddess.
Theran will be exited but with his concentration span of a small child find something more interesting in short time.

Well, as to her opinion on matters, you can possibly glean some from this page: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13232551/ . It seems she knows that her tenants are being taken out of context, but for one reason or another, does not act directly (perhaps because she can't, barring her to Jax it would seem). I mean, the quoted line, apparently the first line of the holy book, implies that nothing is pure, and to me means there's no simple divide of good and evil.
Being a god is tough work. If you act too directly, you run into that pesky "free will" thing. If you value free will, it's often better to work with the mortals you care for, especially if you know they'll get lazy and dependent if you do everything for them. Mature mortals make far better warriors and leaders than some pampered idiot distanced from reality.
Now, if you don't value free will, then you might as well make every effort to override your mortal vassals, ruling through fear instead of love. But you'll have to hope none of them figure out a way to kill/defeat you. Because if they do, you may find yourself devoid of loyal slaves at a very critical moment. Sometimes, when you kick the dog, the dog bites back.
