Here's one of my experimental wolf robots as drawn by
keetahspacecat. It was done in a recent stream. She was nice enough to send me the PSD and I've made a significant number of modifications to the levels and texturing. Her original version is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19808681/
...as of this writing she is open for similar artwork to be streamed on Friday the 29th (Apr. 2016). See her journal for details.
R-ALF is a prototype stealth/scout robot made by the Jayhawk Cybernetics corporation. Unlike the robot jaguars he is based on, R-ALF does not yet appear in my Project Future comic, but is likely to appear in a side-story.
A bit of a smartarse, R-ALF is intended for stealth roles and has been fitted with a cloaking device able to render him partially invisible. The invisibility field is weakened around the eyes, allowing some leakage to enable him to see. His eye glow can be disabled to prevent it giving away his position, but is normally enabled to allow others to read his expression.
The cloaking system draws a large amount of power and competes directly with his locomotion systems. As such he is unable to run while invisible since it will cause one or both of the systems to brown out.
Like the cyberjags, R-ALF is protected with the blackmetal alloy, which is virtually impenetrable and has to be bathed in a particular frequency of radiation to soften it and allow it to be worked.
Artwork by Keetah Spacecat, adjustments and tweaks by me.

Funnily enough, you!
I will have to try and get that story finished, but here's a clip:
"I'm Steve," the commander said, offering a hand to the robotic wolf, then awkwardly realising that Ralf didn't have hands. The feral wolf padded forward, sat down and shook his hand anyway, much as a pet dog would.
"I take it Daryil sent you?" the Demon asked, still slightly surprised. The other adventurers were silent.
"Yes," Ralf said. "He heard you were looking for a scout. Meanwhile, Jayhawk's new stealth model needs to be field-tested before we can be signed off as an approved lifeform by the Being-Creature Commission and put into mass-production. So here I am. R-ALF, serial no 17, system 6.05, rev 91. At your service."
"Ben Daryil," the blue fox said, approaching the robot. "I don't mean any offence, but... well, you're a shiny black metal wolf with red glowing eyes. Exactly how is that in any way stealthy?"
The wolf disappeared, leaving only a pair of faint red lights floating in the air and a slight ripple in the air like heat convection above a radiator.
"I can turn those off too," Ralf said, and the red glow vanished. "Any questions?"
