Akupa are a very shy demon species, as a whole they tend to be quiet, reserved, and skittish. Akupa tend to always migrate, never staying in one place for too long, it's rare to see an akupa with a settled home. They are solitary usually once they grow up.

Akupa all carry an flute, more commonly a bamboo flute, their flute serves as a weapon and a tool.
It is not clear where their flutes come, but they have a strong demonic aura. Their flutes are stronger than any normal flute, so it withstands stronger force to be a reliable weapon in combat. Though, when not in battle use, Akupa flutes serve as a tool to open portals to other realms, most commonly for demons or the soul-less, it is not unlikely however, that Akupa use flute portals to transport companions or enemies to other places in their world.

Many tend to describe Akupa as skittish as deer, or as mischievous as crows. Smaller Akupa tend to be pranksters more often, average sized Akupa are usually the most timid of the species, while larger Akupa tend to be more vicious and dangerous, summoning soul-less monsters to attack or torment other animals or villages.

One must be wary when traveling in deep forest where Akupa may reside, their beautiful music is so enchanting it draws many living creatures to them, most Akupa are not dangerous, however what else is drawn to them is usually the bigger threat. Their music echos far, their soothing tune almost impossible to resist.
