The story of the fool and the madman. What message do you guys get from this story?
For Leroy, who digs for water that may or may not be there, wants to survive. He wants to live.
Gray, however believes that why stop the inevitable? We're all gunna die one day so why try to prolong it? I get a lot from this like; Leroy shows that we will take resources to live comfortably at the expense of every other living thing on this planet. We give very little to nothing back. Do we deserve to live this long? Do we have the right to put ourselves above everything else on this rock? Leroy proves that we are a cancer.
LeRoy believes in life. why wouldn't you want to live? What would be the point of it all if you didn't? Isn't the point of life the ability to do better each time around? Why so quick to condemn? Death will happen, but by God i will not just exist today to just die tomorrow. I would want to live with a purpose. We have every right to exist. Life is full of wonderful things as well as bad, so wouldn't it make more sense to savor those wonderful things?
