Last year I posted a photo of my computer desk and the computer I was using The portal to post my work and communicated with you my friends, supporters and clients. At the time several people commented on FA and in notes to me that they were surprised I was still using such and antiquated iMac, and to be honest it was getting long in the tooth.
I was planning on replacing the system this year since it was starting to show sign of becoming senile and decrepit. Especially the hard drive which was exhibiting signs of imminent failure. However shortly before Babscon a longtime supporter, friend, and client sprung this surprise on me. A 27 inch iMac Retina 5K. There is another amazing piece of hardware that I have not yet incorporated into my studio area. I'll post about that later. I have said it before, but I'll say it again. I consider myself blessed that I have so many people who are so supportive of my work and desire to see me succeed. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart!

"What a lovely bunch of..." Huh, you are so lucky, here we are trying to come up with $$$$ for the deductible so we can get our (single) car fixed and the roof replaced and YOU get a computer. Well I'm only a writer after all. Oh you lucky lucky dog you; oh I am so envious. Use it well my child and your fans will enjoy.
Best to you.
Deductible? Hail stones, hailstones larger than golf balls. One blew a hole right through the gutter. Not THAT isn't where I wanted water to go....

San Antonio, Texas. I did get whacked grabbing a large hailstone to freeze and show my children this weekend at gamenight. Dang that stung (Butt Strike!) We are missing parts of shingles, as I said above there is a golf ball sized hole in the front gutter (it is thick plastic, the ones in the back are Al-u-min-ium.) Car is a series of minor dings all over the top even though it was parked under a pecan tree, we only have the one vehicle. USAA is giving us a free rental for two days while the repair place is saying they need the car 'At least five.' And... USAA gave us $$$ while the real repair cost is estimated at $$$$ not to mention the deductible is around $1800 for the roof, both sheds, the pergola, water misting system and sundry et-als. Oh yeah, real funzies. Enjoy your new system, you honestly deserve it.
Oh, got in my royalty from Amazon today, fifty four books at $0.32 royalty each. Hey. it paid for Bill Millers dinner tonight.

et-al was the big chested Playboy Bunny from Krypton, Kal-El of course ignored her, after he sent her a gold kryptonite necklace for her third birthday that is.
