I've had quite a few requests over the past year or so for a Ho-Oh version of the plush Lugia drawings I make. Finally got around to actually doing it. Ho-Oh's head is shaped a bit weird compared to other things I've done, so this was good practice.
I've been terrible about responding to notes recently. Will get better about that. I'm forgetful. :(
Anyway, hope you enjoy. Ho-Oh will be uh... we'll say upset, should you not. Careful. ^^'

What personality does this Ho-Oh plushie have compared to his Lugia counterpart? Is he just as benevolent or is he even more mischievous? What kind of dreams does he give his captive? Does he try to capture his victim in a similar manner to Lugia, or does he use a different method? It seems from the drawing that he’s a fan of hypnosis.
Plushie Ho-Oh is a lot more aggressive than plushie Lugia. He'll actively go after groups and take his favorite(s), leaving the rest behind to tell the tale. Sometimes he doesn't make people dream and instead creates Ho-Oh-themed plush suits for them to wear. Such suits can't be removed by the wearer easily and are usually bundled with generous helpings of hypnosis, often the sort that makes them believe they're also Ho-Ohs.
So unlike Lugia who is more secretive and prefers to lure a victim away from their companions, Ho-Oh is more like a bird of prey. Also, like how James believed he was a mighty Moltres, this plushie makes the captive believe they’re a Herculean Ho-Oh? How does he get energy from this captive, since they’re not touching his plush body? Unless he dresses them up in a costume, then swallows them, or has them ride on his back. Can these plushies have someone ride on them?
Wireless charging. The plush suits provide a steady stream of energy to Ho-Oh. It's more effective at close range, but Ho-Oh can be away from his nest of captives for a significant amount of time before needing to return. They can have a rider, though usually said rider has been mind controlled into only believing they're in charge, or brainwashed into ordering the plushie to do what it always intended to in the first place.
Is there anyone the Ho-Oh plushie would prefer to keep indefinitely in his stomach rather than dress up in a costume, like a trainer that really caught the plush phoenix’s attention/admiration? And what does this plushie Ho-Oh’s nest look like? What would he do if one of his costumed, or even non-costumed ‘chicks’ was being disobedient or somehow broke free of his spell? What advantages, if any, would the plushies have with a rider? Like, for example, could this Ho-Oh plush pretend to be a Ride Pokémon to lure a captive onto his back and take off with them?
He might be more inclined to keep someone especially dangerous stored inside him. If someone caught his eye, he would prefer to put them on display in his nest so he could admire them whenever he liked. His nest resembles a typical bird's nest with pillows, blankets, another soft materials in place of sticks and straw.
Ho-Oh might tolerate a bit of disobedience if it amused him in some way, particularly if it manifested in the form of a fussy "chick". If someone did manage to break free of his spell, they would still be stuck in his nest unless they had outside help. His preferred nest locations are hard-to-reach areas, which are, in turn, hard to get down from.
He could definitely do that. The primary advantage to having a rider is a second pair of eyes as well as another line of defense. Say he captured a trainer with psychic abilities. With them under his control he could have them fend off any airborne pursuers while he makes his getaway.

It’s a good thing his nest sounds comfy like Lugia’s, especially if someone is gonna be stuck there for a while. Who would he consider to be dangerous? Does his admiration manifest as just looking at someone, or holding them close and cuddling them too?
How would he (playfully, I assume) deal with such a fussy chick? If someone brought an Escape Rope with them, could they leave his nest, or does the plushie check for things like that? Or would an Escape Rope even work? Would he set up his nest on top of the Tin/Bell Tower like the real Ho-Oh, or a mountain like Mt. Mortar?
Could he also psychically bind someone to his back like the Lugia plush can? Do Lugia and the other plushies also prefer to have a rider for similar reasons? How would they treat their designated rider?
