A little ironic since most of the time I don't sleep enough to dream.

I don't think getting rid of religion is the answer. Even if you replace it with science it doesn't change things. Just look at the whole climate change debate. Confirmation bias is a frustrating mess. I know my hopes and dreams are unrealistic. Doesn't mean I'm going to let human nature keep me from dreaming. I do think we can be better.
those who claim conflict to be a default condition are making an excuse.
it takes more work to create a conflict then not.
its just that as humans we've created incentives for doing so.
generally for political or material 'gain'.
cultures evolve driven by many factors.
the probability of conflict is inversely proportional to the universality of consideration.
mutual respect and affection are not quite the magic wand proverbially supposed,
and there in lies the source of disappointment.
priorities are the key here. peace could be far more easily attained and sustained,
without such things as romanticizing aggressiveness, ostentation, and even excitement.
perhaps it is the non-prioritizing of these things, as a dominant statistic, that seems inconceivable.
and the basis of that, is a mythose that presents their absence as non-gratifying.
yet i humbly submit, that personal gratification requires nor is even advanced significantly by any of them.
that rather the twin roots of gratification for sapient beings are those of creating and exploring,
and yes, mutual affection is certainly a desirable thing, though perhaps not one that plays quite as critical a role in gratification,
as the pursuit of it, often does, in motivating the very cultural basis of conflict.
every prejudice that promotes conflict is not a biologically default condition either,
but the byproduct of political strategies of divide and concur.
so while there are strong motivations against the dominance of peace, both personal and collective greed among them,
as well as conflicts of belief among those who interpret the intentions of beliefs poorly,
it is actually peace, that in their absence, would be the default condition.

We think the same ... humans now are victims of madness ... the majority of them now thinks that violence is normal ... that feeling wrath is normal ... but I don't think so ... I feel always truly bad every times I experience wrathful thoughts ... and this is what should be normal ... not feeling that wrath and violence is bad can only lead to fights and wars ... and that is exactly what is happening ... and too many think that fighting they can achive some kind of goal ... but it's crazy ... peace and love should be the goal of humanity and not blood and death ...
I hope so but the more time pass the more madness I see around me ... but maybe you are right ... maybe humans are finally satisfied with all the blood spilled ... I only hope that it's the truth and that our world start to change ... I truly want to see my utopic dreams of love and peace turn real ...
