Perks Preview - Apr 2016 - R2CK inventory/dialogue/faces

Here's what's new:
- The dialogue editing tools are now significantly more robust, and I've been a few trees for the receptionist and HR manager, to test them out. You can tinker with the editor by typing "dialogue" in the console. It's not pretty / made for users.
- You can now open dialogue with NPCs. Dialogue can be fancy / formatted. It can call functions, get and set variables, and interact with your inventory.
- There is now an inventory system. You can view your on-person inventory by pressing TAB. You can use J, K, and L to give yourself test items to play around with. You also have some hidden storage containers, which is where items are sent if you can't hold them.
- Dramatically improved loading times for characters that have already been built once, using a combination of texture caching, reference mesh caching, and seam vertex index caching.
- NPCs are now randomly generated based on some parameters that I can adjust for each NPC (for instance, the receptionist is very likely to be a small female, right now). NPCs then persist between sessions. If you'd like to generate new NPCs, delete their .rack2character files from \AppData\LocalLow\Fek\Rack 2_ Furry Science\characters\
- The facial animation system is now up and running, although I must stress that the actual animations are not finished. Facial animations can be triggered through dialogue, or you can test a few of them out with the numberpad.

I think you are selling yourself short. You should charge a nominal fee. like $5-10 for the finished game. It will give you residuals way beyond the development period that Patreon is giving you.. which is being given while you are in build mode. Once the building stops, the cash stops.

The retail model is my least favorite model for games.
Plans for revenue beyond going gold:
1) Ideally, maintain patreon revenue by simply continuing development on other projects. So far, this has worked fine for my transition from Rack 1 -> Midnight Fireworks -> Bedplay -> R2CK. ( http://i.imgur.com/AJEcOEn.png ) I have a decent amount of faith that it will work for my transition from R2CK to whatever comes next.
2) If absolutely necessary, minimally-intrusive IAPs. That was the strategy I had the most success with prior to coming over to the world of furry porn, and is also the one I feel would be most appropriate for a game of this nature.
Until then, immediate plans:
1) Operate under the assumption that this patreon thing will not last forever. Live frugally, pay down debt. Don't buy stupid shit.
2) Don't make decisions that boost short-term gains at the cost of long-term support.

I know this isnt the place to ask this (very sorry) and if you actually answer id be surprised xD but is there thought of adding any sort of controller support? Would be a cool feature, im a filthy console peasant lol well used to be lol. Anyways im a mess when it comes to keyboard and mouse heh.... Well if you do happen to read this hope everything is all well and dandy :3 Recently pledged to yah on patreon cause i was getting jelly of all the people playing R2CK. Cant wait to get my paws on the latest build :P have a good one!
i really like that design with the realtime PiP feed but imo it looks a little weird to be parented so directly to the head - maybe you could try smoothing the camera movement out a little, or locking it to just the yaw/sidewards pan. maybe pitch/up-down too, but the roll should go imho

Is there anything to do in the game yet other than walk around naked? I figured out how to customize my character and walk around that seems to be about it. In the garage there is a glowing box that I can't seem to be able to interact with. When I go into the lab and use the "add test subject" it just puts me in it and I can't do anything and have to exit the game to get out of it.
Progress looks great, keen for the new and returning features.
I just have one question - and apologies if it has been asked before; there's a nice assortment of dicks, but will the ladies be getting the same amount of choice when it comes to pussies? There's horsecock and dogdick already, but will there be horsepussy and caninepussy as well?
