I wanted to commission him because I really liked his style and just wanted to see what Rufran would look like in his style.

When I went to commission him, I read through his commission info and he suggested offering the characters mood to give him an idea for posing. I thought about it awhile and decided that I planned on moving forward: the creation of Rufran with  3Dan meant a lot to me. It was a shift in my life; I cannot recall such a pleasant point in my life. I feel drive, I feel supported and I feel like I know where I want to be.

However, for that to be the case now, that means it wasn't before. Before I was Rufran, I was an anonymous shell on FA, a young adult incapable of providing for myself and a sad sack hanging around a small gaming community that barely left me with enough reason to feel like I wanted to live. So when I commissioned this, I asked Charlie to express feelings of longing and depression. I am moving ahead, but I felt I should acknowledge the past.

To be honest, while I am content and feel like my life is actually moving somewhere better I still long for someone for companionship. All the great people I meet on the internet show me more and more how alone I am in the area I live. It seems like I am the only person in the northeastern US and as such any friend I make are in wildly different time zones making spending time together difficult and to physically interact would be almost impossible.
