I’ve been excited for Zootopia since the FIRST piece of concept art, and after seeing it the second time.. yeaaaaah, I think I’m ready for round three at the theater before it’s off the big screen <3
edit: also I don't ship these guys romantically but aaaa see it as you see fit! ~

You're welcome. From a story, character, and narrative perspective, it made perfect sense for them to not end up a couple. It better develops their characters in the movie. However, now that that's been done, for the sequel, I am all aboard the WildeHopps ship. :D
That is, of course, my personal preference.

honest to god.. see it while it's in theaters, and I know it won't be there for that much longer. It's my favorite cg disney animated movie by FAR and is at least in my top 5 disney films ever

Meh. The two play off each other so fabulously that shipping debates are unavoidable.
Most ideal scenario for me would be that they don't actually have any romance, but just end up taking all of the big steps a couple would but as friends, and are just talking about it at the end of movie #3 and realize that they've done everything but have a wedding and a baby to make it official.
First thing I'd expect in Zootopia 2 would be for them to move in together since Nick had previously been living under a bridge. Then maybe the heat goes out or they get stranded in Tundratown so they huddle together in the one bed. Etc., etc.
Because, frankly, I agree with you. In fact, I frankly feel that, when it comes to lifelong commitments, friendship is a better bond than love or romance, and I'd love to see Nick and Judy play that out; for them to wind up like a married couple without either of them realizing that people see them as a couple at all.
