Last time we saw this train here on FA, it was in little pieces in my living room.
Now, a month later, this Lionel consist from 1926 (that's right, folks, 90 years young) is put back together! The loco has new pickup wheels, a new reverser switch, new wiring, new brush springs and it downright SKITTERS! In fact, if you run it without the consist, it'll fly off the tracks even at low voltages...
More photos and a short vid of the train in action here: http://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/topic/.....38617462292326
Even Norma Bates kitteh likes the latest (and oldest) addition to the Razorback Traction Co. fleet!

See, you don't know the whole story. I had the loco in a bakery shop last weekend, showing it to the counter lady who likes antiques. A lad about four years old or so was admiring it, so I let him hold it. "Wow!" he exclaimed. "Are those REAL LIGHT BULBS?" I assured him that they were. He was most impressed.
Later, it occurred to me that the lad had probably grown up with CFLs and LEDs, and that may very well have been the first time he'd encountered an actual incandescent bulb outside of a book or video...
