I used to use my mom's old "SoundDesign" LP/8track player from the 70's when I was in HS back from 2000-2004, and it was an amazing stereo. I just hooked up my portable CD player to play them when I wanted it. I more so liked the LP sound, though, so it was perfect.

I was a sad leofoxy when it stopped powering the speakers one day my senior year of HS. I kept the speakers though b/c they were phenomenal.

I had a record player for this too, but last year, the belt broke. I love the sound of LPs, I have over 100 records.

The older Hifis are really good, my grandad had a really old sony system, it had massive speakers and it could pump out a good 250 Watts

I forgot how many watts this one has, but it's great on bass.

LOL, my stereo isn't that old to have an 8track player. My belt worn out on the record player, had to disconnect it.

ohhh that happens alot to people with older stereos it hasent happened to me but mijgt soon. :P i have an 8track ^_^ and cassette and Phono BUT! i refuse to use cds. Your Stereo is nice its a sony ^_^ how often do u use the casette deck? i use mine second most to my record player then the 8track for pink floyd,boston,ziggy stardust aka David bowe etc and its radio tuner : im just that Rad. ROFL
