This is yet another picture of a completely blocked off road. It made traveling very risky, considering there were down trees and power lines everywhere.

Oh yes most lost power for 7 to 9 days around me. Hell I have back up generator and two kerosene heaters when I see the report for this I stocked up on both gas and kerosene. and since I had a T1 line I never lost net or phone all in all was quite a peaceful 7 days around. though when you want to any of the stores in Bardstown or Elizabethtown you think the end of the world happen looking at the shelves for camping supply, precooked food and battery. At one point this lady was standing out side of her house talking saying she did not know how she was going to make it with out power and yet sitting in her yard was a 28 foot camping trailer.
Well you were rather smart to stock up on supplies before hand! We lost our power for eleven days, though we were lucky enough to have a wood burner to keep warm. It was like the end of the world here in Madisonville as well when it came to going to the store, all the shelves were low on stock. But what made it worse was the entire town went without power for a week. There was only one store with a back up generator, and within hours everything was gone that was of any use >.o
It seems Kentucky's weather is getting worse every year. >.o
And as for the lady what a shame! You think logic would tell her to move into her camper. I know if I was rich enough to afford a nice camper like that, that is where I would have went. Much easier to warm up a camper, rather than a house.
They found an elderly man here dead hugging his water heater :( And many died of fumes from propane heaters and kerosene. Unfortunately it was a lack of common since that caused many of those deaths. Not having proper ventilation and such. Some were even foolish enough to bring the generators inside!
