My parents are moving back to the UK from America, and my mother came over first to get some thing sorted over here, while my father stayed behind to get the house sold. It has created a few ... problems, over the past few weeks, mostly around access to the computer. So being an engineer, I decided to try and use an old idea to solve these problems.
The top model is my current room layout, and the bottom is my plan moving forwards. My computer is overdue for an upgrade anyway. So I'll be getting either a 6700k or a 5820k, and my last-gen parts (2500k, etc) will be going to my parents. I'll also be restoring my computer to being a *private* one.
I think I'm a little too old to still have my computer be in the front room with my mother looking over my shoulder. ^.^

Yeah, explaining FA to her would be 'interesting' to say the least.
Though for limited space, I have seen bed/desks where the bed is folded up against the wall when not in use; the desk top stays level, just lowers as the bed is brought down, cabinets/drawers at each side of the desk help hold the bed's weight when in use.
