*giggle* Just had to.
So here's a white lion tail for anyone who'd be interested. :) It would also work well for a white or silver gryphon character. No wire in this one, the shape is all due to the fabric (sorry, it twisted- the curl at the end wasn't supposed to go to the side like that. Ratz). I shaved the faux fur down to give it that short-furred hide look, and the tuft is made with 3" white plush- it has foil threads in it, but to me, that's cool. Gotta have the SHINY.
I'm making paws to go with this one, too. :) White vinyl pads and claws with the same plush fur shaved down on the backs. Both items will be going onto my Etsy page.
Go here, if you'd like to buy it:

{EDIT}: this tail sold at Further Confusion 2010. But I'll probably make another one, or half dozen- I have some more of that white fur. Heh.
No copyright on this one- it isn't for any particular character, though the style is kinda different- so no yoinking that, K? *grins*

That would have to be a custom item, as I have no idea what sort of pants a customer might wear this with (most likely blue-jeans). I made this as an experiment, though I think I'll make more in cutesy colours as well as more "realistic" tones. But if someone asks for a butt-flap arrangement to wear with the tail, I'd either have to make the entire set of pants, or get a sample of their pant's fabric to make the "tail-hole" match the colour. I could do that, it would just cost more.
Yup, yup! I may end up doing just that for some folks if they ask for it. I like the idea of a tail being a permanent part of the pants. The only problem is you'll have to wash 'em at some point during the Con (if you happen to be wearing them all weekend)- and I know some folks seem to have issues with simple things like hygiene. *shudders at a couple of instances of terminal BO- thankfully few)*
Gentle cycle, cold water, dryer: tumble dry, no heat, then brush out the fur (if it's furry) with a cat-comb and you're golden. Yeah, if you're careful in your care of the piece, it should last a good many Cons. It's not just an item of clothing anymore- it's a piece of art and you gotta make it last.
A situation I often find myself in. The way I tune out the whole world for days at a time makes me wonder if I'm mildly autistic... The unimaginative overthinking is part of that- hard for me to break a routine, sometimes. I've done it, but it's still hard, and some of my "routines" or habits are downright silly, on occasion.
Yeep! Hope you can convince him otherwise- see if he can find a posting at home.
Yeah, I'm agreeing with you, there- the rules seem labrynthine, arbitrary and occasionally bizarre in their complexity. All the fees and the way I have to do the forms read like some kind of spy- movie, in their weirdness... :P

lol well I'm trying, he says I have to get a 'good' job to be able to keep him from joining up again. I dunno where a 'good' job would be, honestly.
Meh, I've never met a Mexican I didn't like. Cesar Millan has really solidified that feeling X3 Besides, America was built on immigrates! Not a single part of me is British or English, and I kinda like that.

I like the fact that so many cultures can come together and make a society... It galls me to see the States growing so isolationist that it was starting to scare other countries in their dealings with them- glad Obama's in, that seems to be thawing things. My ancestry is only a bi-partate mix: French and Native American. Mostly French, but the Native shows up pretty strong in places: big, dark eyes, dark hair, olive skin, gets fat easily...
lol yeah you don't get to see enough Native Americans anymore, it makes me really sad. I've always found that way of life very appealing, then again I do claim to be a gypsy at heart lol. I have Hungarian, Irish, German, and I know there was a third one but I can't really remember what it was. Perhaps Scottish? I have a ton of Hungarian in me though, I'm built sturdily with broad shoulders and if I put the effort into it I could probably bulk up some... (if I didn't like 'bad' food so much) lol but it is kinda odd seeing a tan girl with freckles like the irish X3
Yeah, I freckle, too, as well as tan a lovely golden brown. As for "bad food"- I like all kinds of things that are horribly bad for my easily-expanded waistline. *chuckles* My particular Tribe wasn't any great shakes in the "cool" department: just what can one say about a culture that considers muktuk (whale blubber and skin- raw) and seal eyes (also raw) a delicacy?
That's a neat combo. As far as I know, the Innu were a pacifistic bunch who only the local wildlife feared. Heh. We'd eat anything. Hmm, "resourceful" is a good word to describe us. *grins* i'm only a quarter Innu, anyway- the rest is French, and well, they'd eat anything too. Fois gras, anyone?
Yeep, the first statement could be read very differently! I know you meant that you despised the idea? (I hope) Yeah, killing a shark for food, I can understand, but catching it just for it's fins and tossing the rest of that meaty, still alive and dying creature into the ocean is repulsive. If you're going to kill something, at least use all of it as food. Me, I'd never eat shark fin soup, either.
lol yeah as soon as I posted it I realized how that statement could have been taken wrong X3 If I were to ever get PETA crazy it would be over those poor misunderstood creatures. They have been around long before the dinosaurs and most species are almost extinct because of human ignorance o.o *shuts mouth before she rants too much* lol I might as well plant a flag on this page and claim it as my own for how much we're chatterin XP
well this is one of the main concerns i have doing, i dont know how exactly ill pull off a tail (but of course when we get there im sure we'd improvise), but this one literally matches the character I'm using. Like LITERALLY. I will consult my buddy of this because ahhh, can just imagine it now~!
if you were to make one, how much would it be sold for?

Oh, forgot to add: just put two side-by-side slits at your belt-line on the body-suit about an inch apart, like this---> ll That way, you can wear the tail when just wandering a Con when it's too hot to fully suit or have it on the suit and not have anything showing. Yay, versatile!
