So I've been insanely busy in the past few weeks, however, I've had the time to rip out a few sketches in continuing towards my goal to learning how to draw.
this first exercise was an attempt of mine to try and draw several gestures without any type of reference. The idea was simply to imagine a pose, and to get the very basic structural look of it. There are a couple that came out pretty badly (most notably the sitting poses), however, I'm overall pleased with the results.
I even learned some things here, that it is important to input a spine curvature into the drawings.

ahh... the noble, humble stick figure... how often it goes unappreciated. It's like, the first thing I try to drill into folks who say they wanna learn to draw... the cooler and more accurate you can make your stick figure look, the better your fleshed out critter will look.
Oh... and references... screw no references... my instructor drilled into me that all the "professionals" use em... almost habitually... I assume you know about morgue folders? ;3 ... buuut, if you *have* to go in unequipped, I gues practice like this helps. X3
As for curvy spines, I learned that one early... but I tend to like sinuous characters, so... weh.
fun stuff Mag! I will try to take time to dig through your gallery more, later... oh, and I am notorious for rather lengthy comments on things... half the fun about art, is seeing what other people like about it, right? a picture, a thousand words, and all that. u.u
Xheers! X3
