I've recently been watching a lot of http://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis.....s-9GhXJ"" rel="nofollow ugc noreferrer noopener">Catillac Cats episodes on YouTube and I love how unapologetically 80s it is. I do vaguely remember watching this show when I was little, but I didn't really remember anything about it other than it was the "side B" of a Heathcliff show, though I honestly preferred it to the main attraction. From what I read, apparently it was always meant to be the actual main show, but they ended up attached to Heathcliff for the sake of funding or something like that. Though it wasn't the first time Heathcliff did something like this, since previously it was coupled with something called Dingbat, and then Marmaduke. But whatever the case, I'm not here to talk about Heathcliff, I'm here to talk about The Catillac Cats. =P
Actually, I don't really have much else to say other than I do find it entertaining, in its own, cheesy, DiC way. There are things that bug me that sorta come with the territory of being an 80s cartoon, and the lack of consistency as to what their world is like is one of those things, but regardless, I really like the characters. It'd be cool if this series ever came back, though I'd fear the 80s-ness would be severely toned down or just outright thrown out altogether.
