Easily The largest interstellar warship to date, the Juggernaut-class is the premiere flagship of the Earth Alliance. Built as a first-response attack and patrol craft the Juggernaut is equipped with a battery of sensor and communication equipment which has also made it a popular command-craft for fleet operations; along well as four heavy-laser turrets, five medium-laser turrets, three flak-cannon turrets, ten missile tubes two hangers for fighter escorts and twin Tokamak Cannons (a particle accelerator designed to fire 1-ton slugs at close to Light speed) make the Juggernaut a force to be reckoned with.

One thing I wanted to do a little differently with these spacecraft (I'm trying to get used to calling them spacecraft as well, as this is that NASA actually refers to space-going vessels as) is to have the designations for these capitol-craft be related to their intended role and configuration, rather than just their size (though some of these roles do tend to lend themselves to larger ships than others). The way I'm going to class them is:
Battlecraft: "large-gun" capitol-craft with an emphasis on having a lot of weapons and protection.
Battlecruiser: "Large-gun" capitol-craft with an emphasis on having lots of weapons and speed.
Cruiser: deep space (like outer-system) patrol and surveillance craft
Carrier: Carries and maintains star fighters and shuttles (smaller craft can't support as sophisticated of FTL systems as larger craft and as such their interstellar travel under their own power takes longer making carriers essential for allowing these craft from getting left behind)
Destroyer: anti-fighter capitol craft
Escort: convoy and shipping escort along with a myriad of minor tasks and patrol duties that larger craft are unsuitable for.
Transport: carries ground forces from system-to-system
Star Fighter: The name should say it all.
I may adjust this later but for now that is how I am designating these spacecraft.
