Holy shit. I just totally remembered this projet out of nowhere. XD
I was going to create a whole huge group of these guys.
*_* Yet another thing to work on.
chaos...
my home...my precious home
bahished..no longet to visit my beloved plane in flesh
i come here each time i dream
i cannot go home...
the fallen...denizens, powerful among the lower demons, and feared by those at the topmost tier of the hierarchy. the group of misfits grew too powerful for the high demons to ignore, and they were banished, one and all, forced to live out their lives on the material plane.
here, there is not enough spiritual energy in the air to keep them alive...but jut barely. they are wasted away, tormented, twisted, constantly suffering...mere remenants of what they once were. they are hated and feared by the demons who cast them from their home, and hunted by the humans with which they are forced to cohabit...they are truly, fully forsaken.
this is vhrankyrr...the first...the one who united the miscreant band of the lower, but still powerful denizens. born on the plane of chaos...it is all he knows...he revels in the chaos...the insanity...but now, these blessings plague his mind and haunt his dreams, as he wanders alone in the wilderness, searching for something...but what? he does not know, but each night he seeks it with renewed fervor. he will not stop until he finds what he seeks...and will not know what it is until he finds it.

That. And this:
The Lithe is stuck outside its proper home. In order to get back, it has to consume enough of the right emotions and feelings, such as pain, fear, and lust. It also has to devour the wills of some of its prey. We don't know why, yet, but it probably has something to do with it's developing more complex mental and social abilities in its time outside of Drive. Maybe, it has to feed its new adaptations.
The Lithe is constantly hunting for these emotions as well as the flesh of its victims. It is starving at all times except for when it is feeding. Even then, it feels a compulsion to keep feeding. It can never fully rest.
The reason it got booted out of Drive probably has something to do with it pissing off more powerful denizens of Drive. It may have threatened them or challenged them, or just tried to eat them and proved more dangerous than the others of its kind in the area. There are people in Drive that have structured nobility (but they are still very amoral.) If these things living in Drive are demons, the nobility are the "higher demons." The critters that share The Lithe's morphology are mostly bestial. The smaller ones, like The Lithe, have more wits and manipulation than the bigger ones. Some of them may try to control members of the nobility-- that's probably what happened in The Lithe's case.
The Lithe is even more emaciated outside of Drive than when inside it. Drive is an emotion and meaning-rich place. Reality is inherently meaningless. The Lithe feels exposed and awful outside. It is like the difference between being in an epic dream and sitting in a poorly lit doctor's office waiting room...for years...with nothing to do. And starving all the while.
I imagine that if The Lithe would dream, it might be able to visit Drive in some form that is unable to alter it. Hmm.
