Oh probably, but not that I know of directly... I live in Mountlake Terrace, so we have all of King County between us, and my group mainly does D&D. What I suggest is finding your local game+comic store(s) and hanging out there, at least until you build up some friends in the area that you can start a game directly.
I use Borden & Riley sketch vellum. Examples are at http://www.dickblick.com/products/b.....sketch-vellum/ - hopefully the mods will tell me if this is too much like advertising, 'cause if I could get it as cheaply from an independent art store rather than a chain, I would.
This is fantastic 90 lb weight stuff, it's actually the stuff William O'Connor (who's some sort of deity, I think) uses, and the Dick Blick up in Berkeley has it for ridiculously cheap. Given that you're nowhere near Berkeley prices may vary considerably. But; really nice 90 lb weight paper? For about the same price as I'd pay for basic 70 lb drawing stuff around here? Duuuuuuude, I'm so there. There's probably better stuff for marker (like the marker paper which is basically thick and yet transparent, and meant to be used as an overlay), but I love this so much.
Sketch vellum in general is nice stuff though usually pricey. Two warnings though; "vellum" can refer to translucent plastic stuff, which is lovely but not what I like, and you'll want sketch finish vellum. The bristol finish stuff is okay, I guess, but it's got this weird slickness/shininess I don't like that much.

Noted! Man, now I'm just uhming and ahing about finding a UK source for Copic markers and multiliners which doesn't rip me off!
Also, I must say, I got a multiliner brush (the largest they do before you move up to the markers proper, and everywhere is sold out of black copic markers, lol) and it is really rather marvellous.

I just thought I'd mention as you were saying you were colouring some larger areas of black with a Sharpie and were perhaps seeking a replacement! There's only one "brush" size of that line but I'm finding it something of a revelation, though I feel rather unqualified to use it! =-P
A bit pissed off as the bricks and mortar art shop charged me £35 for 12 Ciao markers, and that website above says even the RRP should be only £24, curses!
Mind you, the multi liners go for a whopping $9 in America, according to the sites I was looking at, so, perhaps something of a luxury purpose all round, despite being able to refill them and stuff.
