Own death? I wouldn't quite consider this death but more of a loss of self. I could see this as an extension of transformation, not only changing shape but changing entirely as a person. People change all the time in real life, would you consider someone with dementia or other neurological diseases that change who they are as a person dead?
If you want to talk about death, ask about stuff like vore or gore. There are plenty of images that depict actual death in some sort of attractive fashion.

I'm not saying it's rate, it's when the victim isn't willing, as they often aren't in these situations. Completely wiping away the original person to replace them with someone else? The original person doesn't exist anymore. Doesn't matter how fast it is, the important bit is whether or not the victim is a willing participant, which they almost never are. If it is willing, then I don't care.

This is quite an old comment but as the person who commissioned this and gets loss of self in pretty much 90 percent of my tfs, I can give you different reasons on why I enjoy it :d Though my opinions won't be able to speak for others so I can't really give you an all around fortified statement
Honestly, it's kinda hard to say really as multiple things really make me like it. For one, I love tf (kinda obivious) and forced tf is one of my favorite things. So loss of self is kinda the ultimate card in a forced tf to me at least. I also like it in different aspects just because I find it fascinating and overall, appealing to me. A good friend of mine even compared it to Reincarnation in a sense. Though overall, I do definitely see why some people wouldn't be appealed to it since it is technically "Suicide by Personality" so I understand it's not everyone's preference. Just something I myself find very enjoyable :D
