Reminds me a bit of my own High-elf queen character :D Well, Half High-elf, half elf. It's a long story!

Well long story short, my High-elf queen was the daughter of a mostly insane High-elf ruler who got usurped by my Warlord character, much to the comfort of the island nation they both are living on. Married the warlord, became the mother to two children, witnessed his husband leave to the service of a dark god in another world. Real kicker was when the Warlord returned from the other world all changed and mad many years later. Locked up his own wife to the deepest, darkest dungeon cell of their palace and now tells the island nation in question that the queen is just suffering from a "long term sickness" :D

Whoa, neat! That's a rad backstory. Will the queen ever escape tho?

It is possible. Will be exploring that in the books that I am writing~
