There's a darkness upon me that's flooded in light
In the fine print they tell me what's wrong and what's right
And it comes in black and it comes in white
And I'm frightened by those that don't see it
__________
I'm ok. I just have a bad habit of messing things up when I lose sight of the truth I know.

i knew as soon as i read the title that you were referring to that song, and that makes me really love this piece even more. honestly, very few songs feel like "oh this is a good description of bpd" for me as that one... and now i have to go listen to the entire album immediately.
artistically, the textures and stark contrast between the greyscale and that fuchsia are great, and there's some really interesting stuff going on with line weight.
also that's a good hammer. i can't draw tools to save my life. thumbs up.

weirdly enough, bright magenta/rosy pinks are similarly associated for me. especially if combined with bright warm yellows and golds.
psychedelics can be very useful tools. i wish i still had a good firm grip on some of my own lessons from such things, but my memory is not a good one. but it seems you've got a good grasp of the things you got from the experiences.
we all forget things we've learned from time to time. but you re-remembered. that's the important part in the end.
EDIT: also, avett brothers are a mental illness-associated band for me anyway! and the neighbourhood. and depeche mode. there... are a few.
