This is an art-trade story with 
Monterrang that he said we would make if an certain image he made reached over 30 faves.

This time the rat scientist is trying out a serum to change the species of the one drinking it, and guess who the "lab rat" has to be?

Rat/Hippo OC belongs to Monterrang
Monterrang the scientist was at it again!
After his last experiment (where he ended up becoming a giant blimp of fat of himself!) he had become more eager then ever to try experimenting again, and this time he was interesting in working with the art of Transformation!
He was currently working on a formula that was to transform anyone drinking it into any species of his choice on command!...and the one to drink it was no one else then him.
Surprisingly after his whole "Blimp" incident still nobody wanted to work with him on his experiments, as they still thought that he was "Just plain crazy!".
So he just had to do it all on himself, and he had to admit that once having the vial with the potion right in front of his rat face he was getting very nervous!
Knowing that nothing would be learned by nothing happening Monterrang swallowed his fears, swallowed the vial, and...nothing ended up happening!
He tried concentrating on any animal he could think of.
Shark!
Snake!
Parrot!
Heck, even Cat!
But nothing happen, and he couldn't see or feel any changes happening to his rodent body.
"Great! Another failure to add to the pile!" Monterrrang thought as he took all the samples and all the notes about this experiment and tossed it into the trashcan before going to bed.
But once he was far into the lands of dreams a deep gurgling could be heard from the inside of his belly, and soon something was indeed starting to happen to all of him!
The next morning Monterrang was waking up by the loud sound of his belly feeling very hungry, and instinctively he got up to get to the kitchen when he felt how heavy his whole body felt now!
Looking down he first got shocked to see that he had such a fat belly now, but then when he also saw and felt that his arms and legs was a lot more "bulky" and thick, his long face was pressed in hard, and his now lack of a long rat tail, he finally understood just what had happen.
The potion had worked, and it had turned him into a Hippopotamus!
(A very fat and lazy hippopotamus.)
He quickly tried to run off and get back to his lab to try and create some kind of antidote for this, but he soon found his hunger being to much to ignore.
He needed to feed his new monstrous appetite, and he needed to do that now!
Stopping in his current walk towards the lab Monterrang almost fell over when his increased bulk almost made him tip over! But luckily he managed to keep his balance as he started moving towards the kitchen instead.
Once there he almost blindly took out everything he could grab from the fridge, and placed it on the kitchen table. Everything from packages of both Milk and Butter, and even raw Unions and grinded Meat was piling up and covering over the entire table frame.
When feeling that he had picked out everything needed to calm himself (Which was just about EVERYTHING!), Monterrang sat down and make himself ready to eat.
Hearing his belly only getting louder and louder with each passing moment the once rat now turned hippo couldn't contain himself any longer, and dived right into the buffet of simple ingredients that he had laid up.
Showing off the true devouring powers of a hippo he started to both chew and swallow everything he got inside with great force, making even canned food get bent and mangled by his powerful teeth!
Even his taste buds didn't seem to get affected in any way on whatever he was trying to eat, as even an combination of hot sauce, lemon, and raw unions did nothing to slow him down or even acknowledge what it truly was!
With jaws that could mash watermelons and coconuts like they where grapes, one chew was often all that was needed in order to make it enough for swallowing!
He didn't either seem to care or notice how his own clothes was to small for the type of species he was now, and all the popping of his pant's button did was giving his belly more space to grow out from.
Suddenly feeling like he had something coming up his throat Monterrang took a deep breath before letting out a ridiculously loud burp! And once that thing was out of his system he felt that he could fit a lot more inside of him now!
Once all eaten up Monterrang's belly was now 3 times as big as it had been when he woke up, and all he could think about now was to get back into that bed and sleep all of this food away!
As he was slowly getting back to his bedroom the hippo-rat couldn't help but think that there had been a very special reason to why he got up in the first place. A reason that wasn't about him having a super big meal.
"...Eh. If I can't remember it now then it can't have been all that important." He told himself as he was getting back into bed, forgetting completely that he wasn't even the same type of animal anymore!
Maybe he would find a way to turn himself back into a rat later when he woke up (If he would still remember any of it that is.), but for now he just want to rest his big hippo gut and let his meal digest in peace.
