#749: Not Like This...
Somehow, even a blast equivalent to a nuclear explosion is not enough to destroy a Precursor. Their ancient magic has been preserved for an amazingly long time, and it promises to last far into the future as well...

Is Victoria gonna step on the remains the way the Precursor "stepped" on them back in #641: Thrill of the Kill? The taste of defeat.
Or eat her and become even more powerful by adding its life force to the dragon thus maybe rehabilitating the force to balance itself by observing a life from a different side?
Or are we gonna switch to some other people?

Ah, now for one of the ultimate dilemmas; Justice or mercy?
Certainly, few would blame Vicki for finishing off Typhonis. After all, she did just literally attempt to murder the entire planet. Presumably, she is likely to try again if she has the chance, and given the nature of the Precursors, she would have a veritable eternity of chances. Probably best to nip that in the bud sooner, rather than later. It's the logical thing to do, isn't it?
...But is it the right thing to do? Typh is defeated, barely even physically functional, and certainly feeling more humbled than she ever has; Everything she believed up until a few moments ago was suddenly shattered by one person's determination, in sheer defiance of her "superiority". She's dazed and confused, not so sure what to think anymore; If there was ever a time to sway her mind, to convince her to change her ways for the better, now would probably be that time. Maybe all it'll take is an act of compassion... or maybe not. Only one way to find out!
What's already been done makes Vicki a hero. She's passed the test, this is just the extra credit; there may be no wrong answers, but there's only one that's truly right.
