Character Background:
Normally Shisa that have been bred for generations in the physical world are stuck with warrior duties, leading a very mundane way of life. Eat, sleep, and fight is all that they know. Yajan is unusual in this way. He began his life as one of these warriors, but earthly authorities were no match compared to his zeal for a deeper meaning. While he was built for physical work and fighting, his passions swiftly led him to the sides of high spiritual figures. On his journey he made the sacrifice to leave the sides of his brothers in battle so that he could act as guardian abroad with these teachers. Some judged his choice as a horrible act of abandonment, but inside he knew that his calling was to protect the knowledge of these higher teachings. During travel, Yajan is well known among monks and spiritual teachers for being a fierce guardian, but once the dust settles, you can be sure he's listening in on what they have to say. Don't mistake his higher calling as a weakness, he is a brutal warrior in battle!
Shisa Ornament Info
Each Shisa measures about 2 inches tall and 2 inches wide. From sculpting, to casting, to hand painting, these pendants are all done by my own hand, so you can be sure that much love is poured into each of these unique critters. They're cast in a sturdy resin which is then hand painted in acrylic and pastel. Afterwords, they're sealed in a protective varnish and a ribbon best matching their colors is added for easy hanging, hopefully in a place where they they can be good guardian critters!
