Welcome to Frappuchinos! Now Serving: Blind Date
"Yeah, I can't believe it either," Venti said on the phone with Otis as he searched for a dress shirt that wouldn't be tight on him. "I don't remember when I went out on a blind date."
"You can't find a shirt that'll fit you, huh?" Otis chuckle made Venti wish he didn't have a speakerphone for his cell. "And you scoffed when I suggested we go clothes shoppin' yesterday."
When was the last time Venti even wore dress clothes anyway? On his first date with Damon? Or when he dated Singa? He'd put on some more mass since then, which made this more difficult. "Ha ha, very funny." His closet seemed to have only muscle t-shirts and tank tops. "My date's going to be here in ten minutes! Why didn't I call you earlier? I might've been able to borrow a shirt from you."
Otis snorted. "I doubt anythin' of mine would fit expect for my pants. What'd Art tell you about him?"
"Only that he's a feline, very handsome, and likes big guys." He found a long sleeved blue shirt that once belonged to an ex, and was loose for him a couple of years ago. He carefully slipped his arms through the sleeves, and amazingly his biceps didn't rip the fabric apart. It was snug around the chest, which didn't surprise him too much. "Finally!" He flexed his arm carefully--the sleeve filled up with muscle, but didn't tear. "Success!" He then grabbed the red dress jacket from the bed.
"Are you excited?"
"This is my second chance if it's who I think it is."
A pause, then "You think Art's fixin' you up with Singa?"
"Yeah. I think he--."
A knock on the door interrupted him. "Crap, he's here! Gotta go!" He put on his jacket as he went to the door, mentally steeling himself. Here we go, Venti thought.
Art stood there at the entranceway. Venti blinked, then looked over the lion to see who else stood there. "Don't tell me my date canceled."
Art grinned. "Nope. I'm your date." He took Venti's hand, leading him to his car. "Hope you like sushi."
Venti was too dumbfounded to reply.

For some reason, I find very muscular men silly. I have difficulties to imagine someone who has lots of muscle mass in a suit for example. Venti has difficulties with clothes, too. Yeah, nice story, I laughed in the end. Nice twist. You tell your story well, even if I read these out of order and probably have left a few unread, the story comes together just fine. Well done.
