Hmmm! Since it's only a tail, I'll say an additional $5 :) And acrylic works just fine. I personally use Vallejo Model Paints, but they are tricky to find and a bit pricey. I recommend Delta Ceramcoat acrylic since it's easy to find but good quality oppose to the dirt cheap ones.
