Hi Hi all
I fugured I'd post a little jobby update, featuring me at work and my station. Today was choice of sauteed vegitables with chicken and rice noodles
Im into my third week at the culinary job, and good gob do my feet hurt. Part of that is the 10 hour shifts, the other part i me spending my first paycheck on new slip resistant shoes (boy howdy do they work good) and some superfeet insoles... which actually cost double the shoes. so I have to break them both in
Working at a collage is kinda fun I get to chat with the students in line and can be a weirdo with no judgements
Sadly I might not have the job long. Semester end this week and after graduation we shut down the kitchen for the summer. that and the companies contract with the collage ending meaning everyone has to come in and reapply for there jobs with the new company has me worried but hopeful

I worked in a university kitchen too, my last day was this past Wednesday. I had worked there for 2 years, and they do the same thing with rehiring after the summer. But I'm not reapplying again since I have to move to another city. I'll miss that job and the people there, but time to move on.
Anyway, I think you should reapply for when the next semester starts if you really like the work.
