Sasami is a rare yokai monster known as a Nekomata Dragon. Only two are known to exist today, Sasami and her twin sister Kasumi (Mother of Cerise).

When a Nekomata dragon has offspring, unless the father is another Nekomata dragon, the offspring will only be a cat. But will have the some of the attributes of the father (Fur and eye color, some abilities and powers)

In the early 1700 hundreds she and her sister were worshiped as goddesses.

- Late husbands-

Inu-Gami (1750 - 1875)
a dog yokai that was Sasami and Kasumi's court wizard. Sasami named her newborn son after his late father.

The white wolf demon of Germany's Black Forest.

Gavan Baines (1932-1991)
A cat from Scotland. Made a living selling balloons and playing the bagpipes. (People paid him to leave)
