So over on my 
account I turned Gem into a bat because of peer pressure (only the best people are bats dontcha know) Anyway I didn't want to leave Star out of the fun....though by the looks of it I think she was kinda hoping I'd forgotten about her.

I think gem might be more into mangos. The large eyes, smaller ears, and the shape of the nose suggest she’s most likely a megabat, which are usually fruit bats. Star on the other hand, is unmistakably a microbat (as evidenced by the small eyes, large ears, and distinctive nose shape) so she might like bugs, although there are also microbat fruit bats. Though if she does eat bugs, chances are it won’t be worms, since they burrow underground, and you bats aren’t good at digging, so they tend to prefer airborne prey. In fact, if you ever find a bat on the ground, it’s probably sick or injured. Speaking of which, never touch a bat unless you are properly trained and vaccinated. All bats can bite, and they can carry diseases, many of which can be passed to humans (rabies is the most famous example of this).
Anyway, sorry for the impromptu bat lecture, I just find animals fascinating and enjoy talking about them.
