Watched and reviewed Norm of the North, a while back. Ultimately, it was a series of missed opportunities, characters who pretty much only existed to motivate the lead, and was just one of those movies that exist. Didn't hate it, like many people do, but I didn't exactly find it alright, either. It just exists, ya know?

Sad thing is, there was a potential narrative, there, with the idea of talking polar bears being exploited for "eco" causes, as well as Norm's determination to save his grandfather. But with its general plot confusion, mixed with all the things it tried to incorporate and the characters largely existing as encouragement, yeah, it was next to nothing.
