The guy who I do most of my freelance work for can't pay me at the moment because some company ordered over 100 of his products to be built (costing him a huge amount of labor/material expenses), and then right as it was time to make the exchange, said "Whoops we've actually been bankrupt for a couple months and just ordered your systems to make it look like we were still above the waterline so that someone with more money would buy our company. By the way, since those systems are already built, why not send us a few anyway?"
A big part of being a successful businessman these days seems to involve screwing over others as efficiently as possible.
