About: Part of a personal project, I wanted to develop the look and design for all of my characters, and the "Mantis" ended up being the first concept finished since the project's inception. Instead of starting from thumbnails like I normally do, I went straight into colored sketches, experimenting with different looks, designs, and colors. Each design took about an hour.
