so, as the time closes by, we officially made our "must go" list. we might not realise all of our plans, but this is a rough idea of where we'll be and where we'd like to go during that hot July trip!
our trip starts in New York as we arrive at 28th of June.
then, we most possibly go to Washington DC where we need to organize our time till the AC, including finding a place to sleep >.> after that we'll be rocking around Anthrocon in Pittsburg till 4th July, and then the real trip begins.
after AC we're going to Texas, Fort Worth to visit family, but we'll stay there for over a week or two, so that's gonna be our main base at US :3 we'll surely find our way to Dallas, so paws up everyone who'd like to meet up and mabey show us around~
we'd also like to get kind of a road trip from our Texas base to Las Vegas and Los Angeles and that'd be a few day trip. we still haven't decided if it's better to take a flight or a car. and of course since we'll be kinda around, we'd love to see Grand Canyon National Park or at least a little bit of it ^^;
we don't know yet how and which way, but we'd lso like to hit Yellowstone National Park which has been my dream since i was a kid (though then it seemed like unbelievable idea). That would also be a few day trip and we don't know where we'll stop or go. we might just hit Salt Lake City on our way at some point.
the date is unknown but that'd most likely be the second half of June, when we hit Miami and/or Toronto/Niagara Falls though that mostly relies on the flight possibilities/prices and if we can get a place to sleep. we do have a place to stay at Miami, but we haven't looked for anything in Toronto or anywhere around there yet. depening on the conditions, we'll be flying from either of those locations to New York to stay a bit with my family on the Long Island and see a tiny piece of NY before our fligh back home at 29th of July.
THAT'S how the plan looks like. what we want on our trip is to learn a bit of how the life look on the other sice of the ocean, and to meet as many new people as we can! i know it sounds riddiculus when an introvert like me says that, but- eh- time to fight my antisocial fears! Anyone who'd like to meet up with us or show us around or spend a time in any way, please let us know! we'd also much apperciate any tips on how and which way to move around US. till now we got only what we can find through the internet, but we know nothing about local tansport and stuff.
now comes the worst part: we've already spent a lot on our new flat renovation and we're kinda counting our money more than before, since we don't know how much traveling from one place to another will cost. so.. if there's anyone in the mentioned locations who could help us find some cheap stay or home us for few days, we'd be gratefull~ we're very clean woofs, we can wash the dishes or walk the dog for a stay, you know. i can even cook. sometimes. kinda. >.>

Wish You both luck, hope that on the convention You'd find some cool souls who'd help You out with stuff.
Really want to see some photos or infos during Your trip, some silly stuff on twitter on dunno. im so curious bout it all and wishing You the best and being safe all the time.
If it would be about Europe I'd go with hitch hiking but as its foreign continent and different well, culture ... well.

Niagara Falls is a bit of a tourist trap, the Falls are the main attraction. Its also wine country on the Canadian side of the boarder in the Niagara Region. About 60-90 minutes east along the Queen Elizabeth Way to Toronto, where there is more to see and do. The CN Tower, the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto Islands, Ripley's Aquarium, the Toronto Zoo, the theater district etc. I live mid-way between the two regions.
From the Government of Canada Web site:
Citizens of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland do not require temporary resident visas in order to visit Canada but as of March 15, 2016 they require Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA). Apply now.
If you're entering Canada via the USA/Canada Niagara land crossing you will probably need an ETA...and make sure you have the required documents to re-enter the USA too.
May also be able to see you at AC2016 too.

As an Angeleno I would HIGHLY reccomend getting a car if you're gonna spend any time in Los Angeles. It really is a sprawled out, car-centric city, and you do not want to walk the streets- not so much due to the crime in many areas, but due to the large distance between places of interest and, of course, our heat.
*checks calendar* If you can hang around Dallas till the 15/16 of July, there's Furry Siesta, which is not a full con, just a get together at a hotel, so cheap to attend and casual fun. I'm going to meet some art friends and even though I'm a shy quiet hermit I do good at introducing artists to each other.
From Texas to Vegas area, I'd really lean to flying if can get it cheap enough because that's at least 2 days of nonstop driving across a giant desert in the middle of the summer and you'll end up sweating and sunburned x3
Heck, driving across just Texas would take a day, I've daydreamed about it before XD

You'll definitely want to visit Little Tokyo in LA. It's a wonderful little place with a lot of authentic Japanese restaurants, stores, and cute little shops. There's a great curry place there, and a lot of anime and manga stores that sell some pretty rare items for good prices.
Other than that, despite living a few hours away, I don't know much about LA. Keep an eye on all your things, that's for sure! And avoid going places alone. Seriously.
I've spent a lot of time in Vegas - on The Strip, there's a little place called Katie's Cafe in the Riviera Casino that makes *gorgeous* food - try their french toast. Holy crap.

I've driven across the continent several times, and much prefer that to flying. It's much slower of course, but you're free to stop at anything interesting along the way, or make travel changes as you go. It kind of depends on if you have enough vacation time and enjoy adventures, or if the driving would be too boring for you. Let me know if that sounds like fun and you'd like some tips.
Not sure if anyone suggested this yet, but for cheap rooms try a website called Airbnb
Its people who have extra rooms or sometimes even empty apartments they are trying to rent for however many days you need.
Often costs significantly less than a hotel room! I've hosted my apartment through airbnb, and stayed at other people's airbnb places. So far haven't had anything stolen or been assaulted, the people who host or rent are background checked so it's all legit!
If I make it down to AC this year I'd love to meet you Fuckie :) Good luck on your trip!

If you're going to Florida, the best beaches are Daytona Beach and Clearwater Beach ^^ Clearwater is actually one of the most popular in the world, I like it, but I prefer Daytona Beach (much, much bigger, better for doing sporty things, much less covered in people.) Though my favorite is waaayy to far from Miami. Panama City Beach.
Though I'm sure Miami Beach is very nice, never actually been to Miami Beach though, so I can't say anything on it.
